BREAKING: Jamal Khashoggi’s widow incinerates Trump after he palled around with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and dismissed her husband’s murder by saying that “things happen” and that Khashoggi was an “extremely controversial” man who a “lot of people didn’t like.”
This is what fearlessness sounds like…
“@potus There is no justification to murder my husband. While Jamal was a good transparent and brave man many people may not have agreed with his opinions and desire for freedom of the press,” Hanan Elatr Khashoggi wrote on X.
“The Crown Prince said he was sorry so he should meet me, apologize and compensate me for the murder of my husband,” she added.
Her husband was a Washington Post journalist with U.S. residence who was murdered and dismembered with a bone saw by assassins on the orders of the Crown Prince during Trump’s first term.
Before the meeting, Mrs. Khashoggi wrote on social media: “The murder of my husband has caused me to lose everything. There is unfinished business that remains including: the recovery of my husband’s body & my rightful compensation as his widow.”
“Much like the families in Israel, I would like to recover the remains of my husband so that I may have an appropriate religious burial ceremony,” she continued. “And much like the 9-11 families, I am seeking financial compensation for the murder of my husband.”
She also told CNN that “it is very painful for me” to have to watch the President of the United States welcome bin Salman into the White House with open arms.
Trump has long downplayed the horrific crime, partially because he wishes he could do the same to his critics and partially because the Saudis have poured eye-watering amounts of cash into his family’s pockets — including a $2 billion investment in Jared Kushner’s firm.
Mrs. Khashoggi’s brave callout of Trump came after the Crown Prince visited the president in the Oval Office. When asked about the assassination, Trump falsely claimed that MBS “knew nothing about that,” adding that “a lot of people didn’t like that gentleman.”
“You don’t have to embarrass our guests by asking a question,” Trump said.
When an ABC News reporter pressed for an answer about Khashoggi’s killing, Trump lashed out by smearing him “fake news” and calling ABC “one of the worst in the business.”
Unfortunately, this is all par for the course for Trump. The man is utterly immoral and pathologically incapable of empathy. He doesn’t care that an innocent man was murdered and his widow denied justice, he only cares about accumulating power and wealth for himself.
